Technical characteristics

Dynamic intermittent brake series GMF/GMEF/GMMF
Fed through the ALC device, this brake is used whenever a machine must be stopped in a soft, adjustable manner. Please note that the static torque is zero at standstill and therefore the GMF series can not be used as a parking brake. The GMEF series has got an E current impulse disc brake mounted at the output, while the GMMF series has got an M current power failure safety brake mounted at the output. This series has got a hollow shaft so it can be mounted at the end of a braking shaft.

Negative torque brake
Fed through ALVF equipment paired with the GMV series, it is also possible to control beyond simple acceleration and deceleration, braking the load at controlled intervals. For high-precision positioning the GMEF series is suitable, while the GMMF series is best with static impulse and power failure brakes. Mounted together on the GMV series, the following series are formed: GMVI with dynamic brake, GMVIE series with dynamic brake and current impulse brakes, GMVIM series with dynamic brake and power failure brake.

GFC/GFD series continuous adjustable torque brake
The GFD series is almost always used for unwinding, as its torque curve is similar to that of the torque winding that automatically decreases with the increase of new revolutions (considered with constant power). The GFC series is used for braking at high speeds, as its torque curve rises with the increase of new revolutions.

GFA/GFB series torque brake for controlling couple
The GFA series has got the same characteristics as the GFC series; the GFB series has got the same curve characteristics as the GFD series (constant power). The GFA, GFB, GFC and GFD series are normally supplied with water cooling, and fed by the ALC equipment.

Braking without causing magnetic wear.

GFDS

"D" Induction brakes with squirrel cage in molten aluminium on the rotary-unwinder induction. This specific type of brake can be used as an unwinder without changing the excitation coil. The torque varies with a variation in revolutions.

GFD: Dynamic brakes for unwinders. Induction brake with molten squirrel cage on the induction ring. B5 form air-cooled.

GFD: Dynamic brakes for unwinders. They become GFDEF/AR by mounting the triggering current brake. Example of GFDF2/AR's application. Used on paper processing machines.

GFB/GFA

Balance brakes for controlling torque

GFB: Balance brakes for controlling torque (constant power). Braking groups in a magnetic field, cooled by water or air.
GFA: Balance brakes for controlling torque, proportionate to the energization of the coil or the rotary speed.
